Gardaí in Dundalk are investigating a single vehicle fatal road traffic collision which occurred on the R176 at The Liberties, Carlingford.
The collision happened at approximately 2.45a.m. this morning 11th March, 2012 involving a mini-bus and a male pedestrian. The 27 year old male pedestrian was fatally injured. He died at scene and has been removed to The Louth Hospital, Dundalk.
The road is closed at this time pending a Garda Forensic Examination and local diversions are in place.
