Gardaí in Thomastown are investigating a two vehicle fatal road traffic collision which occurred on the R700 at Brownstown which is between Thomastown and Inistioge, Co Kilkenny.
The collision happened at approximately 8.30am this morning (8/3/12) involving a car and a 4X4 vehicle. The 21 year old male driver of the car was fatally injured (only occupant). The driver of the 4X4 (male only occupant) received minor injuries.
The road has been closed pending a Garda Forensic Examination and local diversions are in place.
