As part of ongoing investigations into the sale and supply of controlled drugs in the Blanchardstown area Gardaí from the local Drug Unit assisted by the Crime Task Force searched a house in the Castleknock area yesterday afternoon (7/3/12).
During the course of this search two firearms (shotguns) and a small quantity of cannabis herb and cocaine were recovered. Two men were arrested at the scene (26yrs and 24yrs)
The two men are currently detained at Blanchardstown Garda Station under Section 30 Offences against the State Act 1939.
The firearms will be examined at Garda Headquaters today.
Investigations are continuing.
