Suspicious devices discovered Limerick city 22nd June 2012

As a part on on going investigation by Gardai from Henry St, into Organised Criminal activity in the Limerick area, a search was carried out on waste ground at Granville Park, Limerick this afternoon the 22nd June 2012.

During the course of the search Gardai discovered a bag containing a number of suspicious devices.
 
Gardai immediately sealed off the area, evacuated a number of houses and requested the EOD to attend the scene.

The EOD from Collins Barracks, Cork who attended the scene confirmed that there were six suspicious devices in the bag which have to be forensically examined. The area was declared safe shortly after 5.30pm.
 
There was no arrests and investigations are on going.
