Burglary on Ormond Quay, Dublin on the 1/6/12

Gardaí in Bridewell are appealing to the public for information in relation to a burglary which occurred at the post office on Upper Ormond Quay, Dublin 7 between the hours of 8am – 9.30am this morning 1st June 2012.

Gardaí are particularly interested in speaking to anyone who may have observed two men acting suspiciously wearing high-visibility jackets outside the old Ormond Hotel (derelict) at approximately 8am this morning, and two men wearing motorcycle leathers in the same area at approximately 9.20am this morning.


It is believed the two men left the scene on one or two motorbikes in the direction of Smithfield Markets.


No firearm or violence was used during the incident and no persons were injured. An undisclosed amount of money was taken.
