Aggravated burglary in Limerick on the 31/5/12 - Witness Appeal

Gardaí are investigating an aggravated burglary at Pallasgreen, Co. Limerick at 10.00 pm on the 31st May 2012.

Two masked men, armed with what were believed to be knives, broke in and attacked the residents of the house. Both raided are described as in their 20s. The raiders ransacked the house and stole a quantity of cash.

Two sisters aged in their 60s and 70 and their brother in his 70s were assaulted and tied up. They managed to escape at about 12.30 am and raised the alarm. All three requires hospital treatment for their injuries and were taken to the Mid Western Regional Hospital in Limerick.  All three were released from hospital this afternoon.

An incident room has been set up at Bruff Garda Station and Gardaí are appealing for anyone with information to contact them on 061 382940.
