Fatal road traffic collision in Gort, Galway on the 1/7/12

A man in his 20's has been fatally injured in a traffic collision at Inchaboy South, Gort, Co. Galway.

The collision between a car and a motorcycle occurred on the Gort to Scarrif Road shortly after 10 am this morning the 1st July 2012

The driver of the motorcycle was pronounced dead at the scene.  Two people travelling in the car were taken to hospital with minor injuries.

The road at the scene is closed for facilitate Garda forensic collision investigators carry out an examination of the area.
