Fatal fatal road traffic collision in Belclare, Galway on the 17/2/12

Gardai in Tuam are investigating the circumstances of a single vehicle fatal road traffic collision on the 17/02/2012 which occurred at Belclare, Tuam, Co. Galway.

The collision occurred at approximately 11.30pm on the Tuam side of Belclare Village on the R333.


The 40 year old male driver was fatally injured and pronounced dead at the scene while the front seat passenger(46yrs) was seriously injured and taken by ambulance to University College Hospital Galway for treatment he still remains in hospital.


The car collided with trees and a wall just outside the village of Belclare, Tuam, County Galway.
