Gardaí at Waterford, assisted by the Garda National Drugs Unit searched a house in Freshford, Co. Kilkenny on Wednesday 1st February 2012.
A cannabis cultivation facility together with sophisticated watering, heating and lighting systems were uncovered
A number of cannabis plants at various stages of maturity were discovered with a potential street value of €80,000 (Subject to analysis).
Three men were arrested aged 46, 49, and 53 years under Section 2 Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996. They were detained at Waterford and Tramore Garda Stations.
The three men appeared at a Special sitting of Kilkenny District Court this afternoon (5/2/12) charged in connection with this investigation
