Drug seizure and arrests in North Dublin on the 7/2/12

Gardai have arrested four males and seized a large quantity of Cannabis following an operation in Co. Dublin on the 7th February 2012.

At approximately 7.30pm this evening detectives from the Garda National Drugs Unit, assisted by members of the Balbriggan and Coolock Drugs Units, carried out a search at an Industrial Unit near Ballyboughil, Co. Dublin.  During the search a cannabis cultivation facility was discovered.  Cannabis plants (1500 approx) with an estimated street value of €600,000 (subject to analysis) and freshly harvested Herbal Cannabis with an estimated street value of €240,000 (subject to analysis) was seized.


Four males (one aged in his 20's, two 30's, and one 40's) were arrested and are currently detained under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996, at Raheny and Santry Garda Stations.
