Ciaran Noonan Murder Investigation - Arrest on the 6/2/12

Gardaí investigating the murder of Ciaran Noonan have arrested a male in his 20’s this evening (6/2/12) in the Dublin Area in connection with the case.

The male is presently detained at Store Street Garda Station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984. He is the twelfth arrest in connection with the murder of Ciaran Noonan.

A murder investigation has been launched by Gardai following the discovery of a body of a man in Co. Meath on the 4th of November 2011.    

The body has been indentified as that of Ciaran Noonan missing from Russell Ave, East Wall, Dublin, since the 20th of October.  

A post-mortem examination has concluded and preliminary results have been furnished to investigating Gardai.    

As part of the investigation a male aged in his 20s was arrested in the north Dublin area this morning (6/11/2011).    

He is currently detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984, at Store St. Garda Station.    

Gardai are continuing to appeal to anyone with information to contact Store St. Garda Station 01- 6668000, or the Garda Confidential Line 1800 666 111.

Gardai in Store St, are investigating the report of an assault and kidnapping of a male on Russell Ave, East Wall, Dublin 1  on the 20th of October 2011.          

The incident occurred at approx 4.45pm on the 20th Oct 2011 on Russell Ave, it is alleged that the male was bundled into a dark coloured VW Golf, which left the scene.          

Gardai in Store St are very concerned for this male and are appealing for witnesses who may have seen a dark coloured  VW Golf acting suspiciously on or in the vicinity of  Russell Ave around 4.45pm this evening or seen it later, Gardai are also appealing for anyone with information to contact the Gardai in  Store St in the incident room on 01 6668089, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111, or any Garda station.
