Cash in Transit robbery in Maynooth on the 2/2/12 - Witnesses Sought maynooth

Gardai at Maynooth Garda Station are investigating a cash in transit robbery at a shopping centre on Dublin Road in the town.

The incident occurred at about 10.45 am on the 2nd  February 2012.  Two men armed with metal bars assaulted a security man as he was about to service an ATM.  They fled the scene with a cash box containing a quantity of cash.  The security man was not seriously injured in the incident. 
 

One of the raiders is described as 5’11’’and medium build, he was wearing a navy hoodie, beige trousers and black and white runners.  The second raider was wearing blue jeans, a grey top and a black jacket. 
 

Gardai believe that a third raider drove a get-away car.  The car is believed to be a green Mazda 323 hatchback. 
 

Gardai would like anyone with information to contact them at Maynooth Garda Station.  They would particularly like to talk to anyone who was in the Dublin Road area this morning between 10.30 and 11 am.  Anyone with information is asked to call 01 6292380.
