Update - Shooting Incident in Clontarf, Dublin on the 4/12/12

Gardaí can confirm that the man in his 60's injured in a shooting incident at Furry Park Road, Dublin 5 has been pronounced dead.

The man in his 30's, arrested close to the scene, remains in custody at Clontarf Garda Station and is detained under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act, 1939.


Gardaí are appealing for anyone who was in the Furry Park Road area this afternoon, 4th December, or anyone with any information about the incident to conatact them at Clontarf Garda Station 666 4800.

Gardai are investigating a shooting incident  which occurred shortly after 4.00pm this afternoon, 4th December 2012 at Furry Park Road, Clontarf.

 A man in his 60s was injured in the incident and has been taken by ambulance to Beaumont hospital.

Gardaí have arrested a man in his 30s at the scene and he is detained at Clontarf Garda Station.
