Gardai in Swinford are investigation a three vehicle road traffic collision which occurred on the Kilkelly to Knock road, Mayo on the 2nd December 2012.
The collision occurred at approx 3.45pm at Cloonturk on the Kilkelly to Knock road approx one mile outside Kilkelly. There were five people in the three cars, a female in her 60's in one car a male in his 70's in the second(both their injuries are non life threatening). In the third car there were 2 males in their 20's and female 16yrs these were more seriously injured and are in a critical condition in Castlebar General Hospital.
The road has been closed to facilitate a Forensic Collision examination, and diversions are in place.
