A man aged in his 30s is expected to appear before a sitting of Galway District Court later this morning (12 noon 24/12/12).
He is charged following a serious road traffic collision at Knocknacarra on Sunday 23rd December 2012.

Gardai in Salthill are appealing for witnesses following a serious road traffic collision at Knocknacarra, Galway, on Sunday the 23rd December, 2012. At approximately 1.40 a.m. a male pedestrian (21 years) was seriously injured when he was struck by a car on the Barna Road at Knocknacarra. He was taken by Ambulance to University College Hospital Galway where he remains in a serious condition. A man aged in his 30s was arrested at the scene and detained at Salthill Garda Station under Section 4 of Criminal Justice Act, 1984.
