Fatal road traffic collision at Granagh, Limerick on the 1/12/12

Gardai in Askeaton are investigation a fatal single vehicle road traffic collision which occurred in Granagh, Co Limerick on the 1st December 2012.

The collision occurred at  approximately 3.55am on the Croom to Granagh at Kilmore, Granagh one mile from Granagh. The driver(29yrs) was the sole occupant in the car, he was seriously injured and taken to the Mid Western Regional Hospital in Limerick where he was later pronounced dead.

The road has been closed to facilitate a Forensic Collision examination and diversions are in place.

Gardai are appealing for witness or anyone who may have been on the road between 3.30am and 4am to contact the Gardai in Askeaton on 061 601630, the Garda Confidential line on 1800 666 111 or any Garda station.
