Arrest and recovery of firearm Dublin on the 4/12/12

A man has been arrested and a firearm recovered following a Garda operation in Dublin.

At 10.50am on 4th December 2012 a car was stopped by the Garda Emergency Response Unit at Temple Street, Dublin 1. On searching the car Gardaí recovered a 9mm pistol.


The 21 year old driver of the car was arrested at the scene and is detained under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act, 1939 at Mountjoy Garda Station.
