A man aged in his 30s is expected to appear before a sitting of Dublin District Court ( Chancery Street) this evening (4th August 430pm) charged following yesterday’s seizure of cannabis at Geashill, Co Offaly.

As part of an ongoing investigation Gardai from Tullamore and the Garda National Drugs Unit carried out a search at a house in Geashill, Co Offaly, on the 3rd of August 2012. <_o3a_p> During the operation a grow house was discovered when Gardai searched two sheds located at the rear of a house. Cannabis plants with an estimated street value of €280,000 (pending analysis) were seized and a male in his 30s arrested. <_o3a_p> The man is currently detained under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996, at Tullamore Garda Station. <_o3a_p>
