Robbery Dublin 28th July 2012 - Court appearance

A man in his 30’s will appear before District Court no 2 The Criminal Courts of Justice at 10.30am this morning, the 1/8/12 charged in relation to this robbery.

A man in his 30s is in Garda custody following a robbery at a shop on James St, Dublin 8 shortly before 10 pm on the 28th July 2012.

The lone male raider entered the shop at about 9.50 pm and threatened two male staff members with a syringe.   A struggle took place and Gardaí were alerted.  The suspected offender was arrested at the scene and is detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984; he has been taken to James Hospital, where he is being treated for a leg injury. 
 
One of the staff members, a man in his 30s collapsed at the scene and was also taken to St James’ Hospital where he is in a serious condition.
