Drug seizure and arrests in Waterford City on the 31/8/12

As part of an ongoing investigation involving the Garda National Drugs Unit and Revenue Customs Service, gardai searched an industrial unit in Waterford City on the 31st August 2012.

During the course of the search herbal cannabis with an estimated street value of €250,000 (pending analysis) was recovered. A man aged in his 40s was arrested at the scene. During a follow up operation a man aged in his 30s was arrested in Waterford city.

Both men are currently detained under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996, at Waterford Garda Station.
