Suspicious death of a male (58yrs) in Killorglin, Kerry on the 19/4/12 - Press conference

Gardaí in Killorglin investigating the death of a 58 year old male following a house fire in the town will hold a press conference today, Monday 23rd April.

The conference will take place at 3pm at Killorglin Garda station

Following a post mortem  examination carried out by the Assistant State Pathologist Margaret Bolster on the body of a 58yr old man discovered in a house at Ardaw, Beaufort, Killorglin, Co Kerry following a fire on the 19th April 2012  an investigation has been launched to examine all the circumstances.

The death is now being treated as suspicious.

Gardai are appealing for anyone who may have seen anything suspicious or unusual around the townland of Ardaw between 11pm on the 18th and 2am on the 19th April 2012 or anyone who has information which may be helpful are asked to contact the Gardai in Cahirciveen on 066 9473600, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111 or any Garda station. 

No further information is being released at this stage.
