Fatal Road Traffic Collision Cork – 21st April 2012

Gardai in Togher are appealing for witnesses following a fatal road traffic collision this evening (21/4/2012) on the Bandon Road at Bishopstown.

At approximately 1700 hours a 50 year old female cyclist was fatally injured when she was struck by a motor car. She was pronounced dead at the scene. Her body was removed to Cork University Hospital for a post mortem examination.

The road is closed for a technical examination and traffic diversions are in place.
