Armed robbery in Terenure, Dublin on the 7/4/12 - Arrests

Gardaí in Terenure investigating an armed robbery on Saturday 7th April have this morning (13/4/12) carried out searches in the West Dublin area.

Two males in their 40's were arrested and cash was recovered as a result of the searches.  The males are being detained in Terenure and Rathmines Garda station under Section 50 of the Criminal Justice Act 2007.


The investigation centres on an incident where two males held up a Cash in Transit vehicle at the Orwell Shopping Centre in Templeogue at approximately 4.50pm on Saturday 7th April.  One was armed with what is believed to be a handgun.  They made their escape in a car which a third person was driving. The car was burnt out a short distance away.
