Fatal road traffic collision near Raphoe, Donegal on the 14/9/09

The driver of a van was fatally injured when his vehicle collided with a stationary combine harvester.

 

Gardai are investigating a fatal road traffic collision near Raphoe, Co. Donegal on the 14th of September 2009 at 4.00 p.m.  The 32 year old driver of a van was fatally injured when his vehicle collided with a stationary combine harvester.  Nobody else was injured in the crash.

 

The dead man, who is from the Lifford area, was an employee of An Post and he was driving an An Post van at the time of the collision.

 

The road between Raphoe and Ballindrait is closed to facilitate forensic collision investigators and will remain closed until mid-day tomorrow.
