Fatal road traffic collision at Wellington Quay, Dublin on the 15/9/09 - Witness appeal

A male cyclist was fatally injured when he was in collision with an articulated truck.

 

Following this morning's fatal collision at Wellington Quay (Previous release below refers), Gardai are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the incident to contact Pearse Street Garda Station on 01 - 6669000.

Gardai are investigating a fatal road traffic collision at Wellington Quay in Dublin on the 15th of September 2009 at 8.20 a.m.  A 51 year old male cyclist was fatally injured when he was in collision with an articulated truck.  The man was pronounced dead at St. James' Hospital.

 

The road remains closed at the scene to facilitate forensic collision investigators carry out an examination of the scene and diversions are in place.
