Attempted robbery at a Hotel in Enfield, Meath on the 14/9/09

Gardai from Enfield who were patrolling the the area observed suspicious activity in the vicinity of the hotel.

 

Gardai have arrested 3 males who were attempting a robbery at the Marriott Hotel in Enfield this morning, the 14/9/09.

 

The 3 males, all in their 30’s, entered the premises at 5am armed with a screwdriver and threatened staff.

 

Gardai from Enfield who were patrolling the the area observed suspicious activity in the vicinity of the hotel. They arrested 1 male at the scene. The 2 other men fled the scene on foot and were later arrested at approx. 8.30am following an extensive search involving Gardai from Trim and Enfield, assisted by the Organised Crime Unit and the Garda Air support unit.

 

All three are currently detained at Navan, Kells and Trim Garda stations under Section 4 Criminal Justice Act.
