During the search of the car a shotgun was located.
As part of the ongoing investigation into the feud between a number of Traveller families in Co. Kerry Gardai stopped a vehicle on the Tralee / Castleisland road shortly after midnight on the 14/10/09.
During the search of the car a shotgun was located. The sole occupant, a male aged 26 yrs was arrested under Section 30 offences against the State Act, 1939 and is currently being detained at Tralee Garda station.
During a follow up search of a house in the Mitchels Crescent area of Tralee Gardai recovered another shotgun, 3 petrol bombs, 2 samurai swords, a slash hook, a knife and 2 balaclavas.
