Garda operation in Drumcondra, Dublin on the 16/10/09 - Arrests

Members from the Organised Crime Unit in NBCI assisted by the ERU carried out an operation which lead to the arrest of four males.

As part of an intelligence led operation Gardai have arrested 4 males in Drumcondra this morning, the 16/10/09. 

 

Members from the Organised Crime Unit in the National Bureau of Criminal Investigation (NBCI) assisted by the Emergence Response Unit (ERU) carried out an operation which lead to the arrest of four males and the recovery of a handgun (subject to technical examination)

 

All four have been detained under section 30 of The Offences Against the State Act 1939 at Ballymun (2) and Store Street (2) Garda Stations.

 

A crime scene had been sealed off around the Post Office on Lower Drumcondra Road and Gardai from the Technical Bureau are carrying out an examination.
