Fire at a house in Newbridge on the 4/10/09

Gardai and the Fire Brigade were alerted by neighbours to a fire at the house at Pairc Mhuire.

 

Gardai in Newbridge are investigating the circumstances of a fire at a house in Pairc Mhuire, Newbridge on the 4th October 2009 at approx 6am.

 

Gardai and the Fire Brigade were alerted by neighbours to a fire at the house at Pairc Mhuire at approx 6.05hrs. There were 3 occupants in the house at the time of the fire, all 3 were taken to Naas General Hospital. One of the occupants an 81 yr old male was later pronounced dead. The two others a male in his late 40s and a female in her early 70’s are described as being in a stable condition.

 

The scene is currently being preserved pending a technical examination.
