Fatal Shooting at Mulhuddart, Dublin on the 23/10/09 - Press Briefing

With regard to the shooting of a male in Mulhuddart in Dublin on the 23rd October, a press briefing will be held at 12 mid-day in Finglas Garda Station, today, the 24th October 2009.

Gardai at Blanchardstown are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred at approximately 8.30pm this evening the 23.10.09 outside a shop at Parslickstown, Mulhuddart, Dublin 15.

 A male in his 20’s was shot a number of times in the upper body. The injured man was taken to Connolly Hospital, Blanchardstown where he was pronounced dead.

The scene of the shooting is preserved pending a Garda Technical Examination.

Gardai are appealing to any members of the public that may have been in the area, or surrounding areas before and after the shooting and may have witnesses the incident or be in a position to assist the Garda to contact Blanchardstown Garda Station on 01 6667000, The Garda Confidential Telephone Line 1800 666 111 or any Garda Station.
