Fatal road traffic collision at Ballybeg on the main Cork to Limerick road on the 19/10/09

The collision occurred when a Truck and a 4x4 vehicle collided.


Gardai at Mallow are investigating a fatal road traffic collision which occurred this morning (Monday, 19 October 2009 at approximately 6.15am) at Ballybeg on the Mallow side of Buttevant on the main Cork to Limerick road.

 

The collision occurred when a Truck and a 4x4 vehicle collided.

 

A male in his 30’s who was driving the 4x4 (only occupant) was pronounced dead at the scene. A male driver of the truck (only occupant) has been taken to Mallow Hospital suffering from shock.

                                                                            

The road is currently closed to facilitate a forensic collision investigation.
