Discovery of a body in a burnt out car close to Ballindinas Roundabout, Wexford on the 9/10/09 - Court appearances

Three males are due to appear in Wexford District Court on the 11/10/09.

 

In relation to the discovery of the body of a female in a burnt out car in Wexford on the 9th Oct 2009 (previous release below refers) - three males in their mid 20's are due to appear in Wexford District Court at 7.30pm this evening, the 11th October, charged in connection with the incident.

 

Two females being detained in relation to the incident have been released - a file is being prepared for the Director of Public Prosecution in relation to one of them.

 

One male in his 40's remains in custody in Wexford Garda Station.

Following the discovery of a body in a burnt out car at a location close to Ballindinas Roundabout, Wexford at approx 16.20hrs today - the 9th Oct 2009, Gardai in Wexford investigating the incident have arrested 6 people (4 males and 2 females) who have been detained under the provisions of Section 4 Criminal Justice Act. They are currently being detained at Wexford Garda Station.

 

The scene has been preserved for a Technical examination and the services of the State Pathologist have been requested.

 

Gardai are appealing for witnesses who may have seen a blue Opel Corsa bearing the partial registration 98 D  in and around the Glenville Road and Ballindinas Roundabout areas which is on the Enniscorthy side of Wexford town or around the Wexford town area in the last 24hrs.
