Rollout of the new model has commenced in the various Garda regions and this event marks the launch of the model in Cork City.
On Friday, 23 October 2009 at 10.30 am, the Garda Commissioner, Fachtna Murphy, will launch the Cork City implementation of the National Model of Community Policing.
