Ammunition has been seized, and a male arrested following searches in Limerick.
On 7/11/2009, in a planned operation Detective Gardai based at Roxboro Road. Limerick, assisted by the Divisional Search team carried out a search of a house and lands at east Limerick.
During the search a number of firearms (2 pistols and a stun gun) and a quantity of ammunition were recovered (subject to examination).
A male aged in his 30’s was arrested and is currently being detained at Roxboro Road Garda Station under the provisions of Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act, 1939.
