Road traffic collision at the Red Cow Roundabout, Dublin on the 7/11/09

One person is in critical condition following a collision at the Red Cow Roundabout.

 

Gardai in Clondalkin are investigating a road traffic collision which occurred at approx 02.50hrs on the 7th Nov 2009, it occurred on the citybound lane of the N7 at the jct of the Red Cow roundabout, which is currently closed (08.00hrs) and diversions are in place.

 

The collision involved a Garda car and number of other vehicles.

 

The Garda car was positioned and parked at the rear of a scene, where a broken down car was being removed by a tow truck. 

 

This incident has been referred to The Garda Siochana Ombudsman Commission.

 

Witnesses to the collision are asked to contact the Gardai in Clondalkin 01-6667600 or the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111.

 

Two Garda members (1 male & 1 female) and 2 males from a second car were taken to Tallaght Hospital, the Gardai received minor injuries and were released from hospital shortly afterwards. Of the 2 others 1 male is described as critical but stable and the other is not believed to serious.


 

One person is in a critical condition in Tallaght hospital and 3 others who were taken to Tallaght Hospital their injuries are described as not serious.
