Murder Jeffery Hannon, Limerick on the 22/11/07 - Further arrests

They are being detained under Section 30 of the Offences Against The State Act.

 

As part of the ongoing investigation into the murder of Jeffrey Hannon, on 22nd November 2007, Gardaí at Henry Street arrested 3 people this morning, the 17/11/09.

 

They are 2 men, aged 21 and 22 years respectively and a 21 year old female.

 

They are being detained under Section 30 of the Offences Against The State Act at Henry Street and Roxboro Road Garda Stations.

 

To date a total of 19 people have been arrested as part of this investigation.

Gardaí at Roxboro Road are appealing to the public for assistance in relation to the discovery of the body of a 19 year old man that was found in a green area in O Malley  Park this morning.

Anyone who was in that area between 10am and 10.30am and who may have witnessed something, or anyone with any information at all to offer, are asked to contact the incident room at Roxboro Road on 061 214349, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111 or any Garda Station.

Superintendent Frank O' Brien will brief the media on the incident at Roxboro Road at 3.30pm.

Gardaí at Roxboro Road are investigating all the circumstances surrounding the discovery of the body of a male in a green area of O Malley Park, Limerick City, at 10.30am this morning.

A passer by notified Gardaí of the discovery.

The scene is currently  preserved.

The services of The Garda Technical Bureau and The State Pathologist have been requested.
