Fatal road traffic collision at Slane, Meath on the 7/11/09

A male has died following a collision in Slane, Co. Meath

 

Gardai in Navan are investigating a fatal road traffic collision which occurred on a minor road at Grangegeeth, Slane, Co. Meath on 7/11/2009.

 

At approximately 2145 hours Gardai were called to Grangegeeth, Slane, following a collision involving a motor car and a van  at a crossroad junction.

 

The driver of the car, a male aged 27 years, sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. His body was taken to Our Ladies Hospital, Navan where a post mortem examination will be carried out. The driver of the van, a 23 year old male, was also taken to Hospital with minor injuries.

 

The scene remains closed pending examination by Forensic Collision Investigators and traffic diversions are in place.
