Fatal road traffic collision at Ballybofey, Donegal on the 23/11/09

The driver and passenger in one of the vehicles (only occupants) were pronounced dead at the scene

 

Gardai at Ballybofey, Donegal are investigating a two vehicle fatal road traffic collision which occurred at approximately 3.45pm today, the 23rd November 2009 on the main road between Lifford and Ballybofey (the N15, near the village of Killygordon).

 

Two cars were involved in the collision.  The driver and passenger in one of the vehicles (only occupants) were pronounced dead at the scene (both men in their 20s).

 

The female and male occupants of the second car were taken to Letterkenny General Hospital, where they are currently being treated for their injuries.

 

The main road between Lifford and Ballybofey is currently closed, pending a full examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators.  Diversions are in place.  The road will remain closed until tomorrow morning 24th September 2009.
