Arrests in connection with offences under the Criminal Law (Human Trafficking) Act 2008

Gardai from the Garda National Immigration Bureau have arrested 3 people.

 

Gardai from the Garda National Immigration Bureau have arrested 3 people in connection with offences under the Criminal Law (Human Trafficking) Act 2008.

 

A female 33yrs, was arrested on the 19/11/09 at 8.30a.m. in Dublin. She was arrested for suspected breach of Section 3 Criminal Law (Human Trafficking) Act 2008.  She was conveyed to Coolock Garda Station where she was subsequently detained under the provisions of Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984. She was released from custody at approx 23.00hrs on the 19th Nov 2009. File to the Director of Public Prosecutions.

 

A  male 52yrs, was arrested on the 19/11/09 at 9.05a.m in Sligo .  He was arrested for suspected breach of Section 3 Criminal Law (Human Trafficking) Act 2008. He was conveyed to Manorhamilton Garda Station where he was subsequently detained under the provisions of Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984. Still in Custody. (12.40hrs 20th Nov)

 

A male 53yrs, was arrested in Sligo  on the 19/11/09 at 10.05a.m. He was arrested for suspected breach of Section 3 Criminal Law (Human Trafficking) Act 2008. He was conveyed to Carrick–on–Shannon Garda Station where he was subsequently detained under the provisions of Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984. He was released this morning at approx 10.00hrs 20th Nov 2009. File to the Director of Public Prosecutions.
