A Garda Reserve Graduation Ceremony will take place on Thursday the 14th of May 2009 at 2pm at the Garda College, Templemore, Co. Tipperary. Mr. Dermot Ahern T.D. The Minister for justice, Equality and Law Reform and Garda Commissioner Fachtna Murphy will be in attendance.
There will be 102 Garda Reserves graduating on Thursday. Allocation of Garda Reserves and further details will be available from the Garda Press Office after Thursday’s ceremony.
There are currently 520 Garda Reserves nationwide. 143 are female and 377 are male. 322 are operational and 198 are in training.
