Fatal road traffic collision on the N21 between Castleisland and Abbeyfeale, Kerry on the 19/5/09

Gardai are investigating a road traffic collision on the N21 between Castleisland and Abbeyfeale.

 

Gardai are investigating a fatal road traffic collision in Co. Kerry, which occurred on the 19th of May 2009 at 2.45p.m. The accident happened on the N21 between Castleisland to Abbeyfeale, near Healeys Bridge.

A man believed to be in his 70s was fatally injured when the car he was driving was in collision with a truck, he was the only occupant of this car. The driver of the truck received minor injuries and was taken to Tralee General Hospital.

The road at the scene remains closed, but is expected to re-open in the next hour.
