Gardai in Waterford are investigating a single vehicle road traffic collision which occurred near Mooncoin Village in Co. Kilkenny on the main Waterford to Carrick-on-Suir road shortly after 4.15pm today - 7th May 2009.
One man was pronounced dead at the scene when the lorry which he was driving overturned. There were no other persons in the vehicle at the time, and nobody else was injured.
The lorry remains at the scene and the road is closed. Diversions are in place and are likely to remain in place overnight.
