Discovery of the body of Peter Gunn - further arrest on the 6/5/09

A male in his late 20s has this morning (6th May 2009) been arrested as part of the ongoing investigation into the discovery of the body of Peter Gunn.

 

A male in his late 20s has this morning (6th May 2009) been arrested as part of the ongoing investigation into the discovery of the body of Peter Gunn on 15th January 2009. He was arrested in the north Dublin area, and is the third person to have been arrested as part of this investigation.

He is being detained in Finglas Garda Station under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act.

The other two people, who were arrested on the 28th of April, have been released and a file will be prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.

Gardai in Finglas have arrested two people on the 28/4/09 in relation to the discovery of the body of Peter Gunn found on Dunsoghly Lane, The Ward, Co. Dublin on 15th January, 2009. (see original press release below)

One male in his late 20's and a female in her late teens were arrested in north inner city this morning at approximately 7.30 a.m. and are currently detained under Section 30 Offences Against State Act, 1939 at Finglas and Cabra Garda Stations respectively.

Gardai in Finglas are investigating the discovery of the body of a man on Dunsoghly Lane, The Ward, Co. Dublin.

The body was discovered shortly after 9.00pm on the 15th of January 2009.

The area is sealed off and crime scene examiners from the Garda Technical Bureau are at the location. The State Pathologist has been notified of the discovery.

The body, which has not been identified, remains at the scene.

There is no further information at present but updates will be provided as information becomes available.
