Armed incident at Lucan, Dublin on the 15/5/09

Gardai from the Organised Crime Unit at the National Bureau of Criminal Investigation intercepted an armed criminal group.

 

Gardai from the Organised Crime Unit at the National Bureau of Criminal Investigation today, the 15/5/09 intercepted an armed criminal group at Foxborough Road, Lucan, Co. Dublin.

During the incident a number of shots were fired and 2 men were injured. One of the men has since died in hospital. The State Pathologist has been contacted.

Four men aged in their 20’s have been arrested and are currently being detained in Lucan and Ronanstown Garda Stations under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act, 1939.

The Garda Siochana Ombudsman Commission has been notified of the incident.
