Fatal road traffic collision at Bruff, Limerick on the 24/6/09

A young male cyclist was fatally injured when he was struck by a jeep.

 

Gardai in Bruff, Co. Limerick are investigating the circumstances of a fatal road traffic collision which occurred on the R512 the Ardpatrick Road out of Kilmallock, Co. Limerick on the 24/6/09.

 

At approximately 18.15 hrs hours a young male cyclist, aged 11 years, was fatally injured when he was struck by a jeep. He was pronounced dead at the scene and was taken to the Mid Western Regional Hospital in Limerick where a Post Mortem will take place later today, the 25/6/09.

 

 The scene was technically examined and the road has since reopened.
