Discovery of body at Finglas, Dublin on the 12/6/09 - Press briefing

In relation to the discovery of the body of a male in Finglas this morning - 12th June 2009 (previous release below refers), a press briefing is due to be held at 3.30pm at Finglas Garda Station.

Gardai at Finglas are investigating all the circumstances surrounding the discovery of the body of a male believed to be in his early 20’s at the junction of Cardiffsbridge Rd and Tolka Valley road, Finglas.

The discovery of the body was reported to Gardai shortly after 5am this morning - Friday 12th June 2009.

The body remains at the scene and the Office of the State Pathologist has been notified.

The junction is closed to traffic pending forensic examination and commuters using Cardiffsbridge Road or Tolka Road are asked to use alternative routes.

Gardai are appealing for anyone who may have any information to contact Finglas Garda Station on 01-6667500.
