Witness appeal - Drowning in Aston Quay, Dublin on 29/12/08.

Gardai at Pearse Street wish to appeal to the public for their assistance in relation to a male who drowned in the River Liffey , near Aston Quay..

 

Gardai at Pearse Street wish to appeal to the public for their assistance in relation to a 27 year old male who drowned in the River Liffey, near Aston Quay, on the 29/12/08 at approximately 2am.

They are particularly keen to speak to several people who were standing at the Taxi rank on Aston Quay and who went on to try and assist the male in the water. Their efforts were unsuccessful and the male was later taken from the River Liffey by the Dublin Fire Brigade.
