As part of a planned operation Gardai at Clontarf Garda Station carried out a search of an apartment in Fairview, Dublin 3, shortly before 7.30am this morning - 16th January 2009.
In the course of the search they recovered a large number of what are believed to be counterfeit traveller's cheques, a substantial amount of equipment which can be used for the production of counterfeit cheques and cash, along with computer equipment and mobile phones.
Two males and a female were arrested at the scene. The males are in their mid 50's and mid 30's respectively and the female is in her mid 50's.
The three are being detained at Store Street Garda Station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act.
