Gardai from the South Central Crime Task Force (Dublin) and the District Detective Unit, Clondalkin carried out a search.

Gardai from the South Central Crime Task Force (Dublin) and the District Detective Unit, Clondalkin carried out a search of waste ground at Station Road Clondalkin last night 12th January 2009.

As a result of this search seven firearms and a quantity of ammunition were recovered.

Investigations are continuing.
