Gardai are investigating a fatal road traffic collision which occurred on Friday, 16th of January 2009 on the Southern Road in Cork city when a 72 year old female pedestrian was fatally injured when she was struck by a bus.
Gardai are investigating a fatal road traffic collision which occurred shortly before 8.00 a.m. this morning, Friday the 16th of January 2009 on the Southern Road in Cork city.
A 72 year old female pedestrian was fatally injured when she was struck by a bus. She was removed to Cork University Hospital where she was pronounced dead shortly before 9 a.m.
Gardaí are still at the scene and diversions are in place. Gardaí at Anglesea Street Garda station are appealing for any one who may have witnessed the collision to contact them at 021 45 22 000.
